Gus's: my new favorite store and the first place since moving from the East Bay that doesn't make me miss the Berkeley Bowl. Amazing quality, beautiful selection, entirely reasonable prices (Helllloooo Niman Ranch bone in ribeyes for under $20/lb!), super friendly service from people who appear to really like their jobs (in clear contrast to the post-Amazon Whole Foods workers whose looks of resignation and loathing for their newly arranged marriage remind me of Sanza Stark glaring at Ramsey Bolton).
If you live in SF and haven't been, do yourself a favor and check it out. And feel free to invite me over for dinner because whatever you make will surely be delicious. -

I love this place. From grocery shopping to getting my morning coffee, this place is a quality market. But yes, it can be a little spendy.
The cafe: Bagel sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, Humphrey Slocombe scoops, beer and wine. This place is fantastic for quick morning (or afternoon) snacks. They also have happy hour during the day.
The deli: I LOVE their deli. The staff is nice and fast even during the lunch rush. They have a set sandwich menu, but you can also make your own. There's also delicious deli snacks there too.
The grocery bit: From produce to bulk bins and even crazy delicious "healthy" junk food, you can find endless goodies here. I love trying the new cheeses they have out for tasting. There's also a wonderful array of wines and beers.
There's a solid hot bar, but I admit I'm more into just grabbing a pre-packed salad or a sandwich. There's also a wonderful little sushi fridge where bowls and rolls can be found pre-made there, beside their Poke station. -

Love this grocery store!!!
Very clean interior, fresh produce, and has complimentary parking in the back garage!
I love to stop by and get their smoothies after going to a yoga class at corepower across the street.
The workers are very helpful and friendly as well. -

It's like a mini Whole Foods, now without the Amazon bullshit. Lots of fresh produce, organic and not, nice cheese selection, beer and wine, deli counter, hot and cold buffet, and all the normal grocery items but in a smaller footprint, so a bit less choice overall. It's a very nice addition to the neighborhood though, which was only served by a Safeway (in which I saw many an unfortunate event occur over the years).

A wonderful selection of produce - especially if you love frisée and watermelon radishes! Great cheese election, awesome meats and fish and their bulk section is Rainbow Grocery meets Gucci. Best selection of ice cream of any market in the city and the cashiers - with one exception - are just as sweet.
